This Graphic Arts Design and Technology Program prepares you for an exciting career in graphic design and production, using the latest digital tools and a hands on approach. Become one of the skilled professionals called on to create high impact visuals and produce this creative work. The Graphic Arts Design and Technology AAS Degree & Certificate options prepare you for entry level employment or transfer to a four year institution to complete your Bachelor’s Degree.

Our state of the art lab environment supports all students in the Graphic Arts Program. The GRA facility offers lab space for student use in Y128 and Y203J. A combined 3000 square foot space that includes, presses, prepress, output devices and workstations for students to complete their projects and output needs. Tech Support, Students Aides, and Supplemental Instructors are ready to help with applications and assignments.

This GRA Program has a robust Advisory Committee that is a conduit for employment opportunities. This program is an accredited program sanctioned by the Accrediting Council for Collegiate Graphic Communications. This also opens doors for our students.

Meet, Design, and Create! Join Graphic Arts Design Club and meet other Harper College students interested in Graphic Design. Learn the skills to help produce live jobs and work with live clients. Build your skills and your portfolios with other Harper students and gain first-hand experience on different projects and assignments.


Gain knowledge on project management, designing, printing and more. Join other members on field trips, volunteering for the community, and experiencing other Harper College events. Meet every week with other students who are also passionate about graphic arts and enjoy engaging in hands on experiences. All Harper students are welcomed!

GRA Print Expo is an annual event that the Harper College Graphic Arts Program hosts to explore the innovation of print graphics, showcases employment opportunities and demonstrates the incredible growth outlook for the industry’s future.
